Here you will find everything related to the activities that we planned to develop in the second grade class.
Warm up at the beginning of the class
Children must sit in a circle around the teacher. Then we explain to them the dynamic of the activity. Throw (or roll) a ball (previously brought by the teacher) to each student randomly (without repeating turns), as they do so, they must answer the questions: What’s your name and what’s your favorite color. This activity is expected to last approximately 15 minutes.
Feedback after the warm up activity
In 15 minutes we are going to brush up the colors that were mentioned before by the children, but also the ones which will be work during the whole class, with flash cards and also with this video to complement the explanation.
General explanation
The general explanation will take an approximate time of 15 minutes, where we will use flashcards to teach them the structure needed for the description of qualifying adjectives in regards to form/shape and color (Verb to be+adjective order). This is the principal topic that we will implement in the next activity and along the class.
The material used for the flashcards was selected from and inspired on the British Council website for kids.
